We run a yard tour for any customer or prospect who asks. It takes about 45 minutes. It is not a sales pitch — most of the people who take a tour become better customers because they understand the operations, not because they were sold to. Here is what the tour looks like.
Before you arrive
Email hello@ibctanksmilwaukee.com with two or three preferred dates and a window. We confirm within a business day. We will send you a map, parking instructions, and a heads-up on PPE — we provide a hardhat and safety glasses; you bring closed-toe shoes (steel-toe preferred but not required).
The 45 minutes
Roughly:
- 10 minutes: the intake dock and how we process an inbound trailer.
- 10 minutes: the inspection and regrade station. You will see boxes being graded in real time. Ask questions; the inspectors are happy to explain.
- 5 minutes: the repair bench.
- 10 minutes: the IBC wash station.
- 5 minutes: outbound staging and the bale area.
- 5 minutes: questions in the office.
What we will not do
- Photographs of inspectors' faces or specific customer load photos. Operational privacy is real.
- Discuss specific competitor pricing or customer programs by name.
- Promise anything we cannot back up in writing.
What you will probably get out of it
The clearest answer to whether we are the right vendor for your specific use case. We have turned down prospects on a tour when their volume or geography did not fit our model. We have also closed deals on tours that were stuck for months. Either outcome is useful.
You will also get coffee. We have a decent coffeemaker now.
