Photography and yard access for press.

We host journalists at the yard by appointment. Yard tours for press purposes typically take 60–90 minutes (longer than a customer tour) and include time for photographs and brief interviews with the yard manager.

Photography guidelines

  • General floor and operations photography is fine.
  • Inspector faces and individual customer-load identifying details are off-limits.
  • BOL numbers, customer names on packaging, and specific brand marks should be obscured.
  • We can arrange staged shots of inspection and reconditioning if a journalist wants specific operational visuals.

Past coverage and citations.

We've been cited or quoted in industry coverage on packaging sustainability, reverse logistics, and Wisconsin manufacturing. Available on request if you want background.

Story angles we find interesting.

We get asked occasionally what types of stories we're happy to talk to. A few angles where we have substantive things to say:

  • The economics of corrugate reuse vs new-corrugate procurement at industrial scale.
  • The operational realities of closed-loop packaging programs (what works, what doesn't).
  • Inspector calibration and the quality discipline of used-goods grading.
  • How OCC commodity pricing flows through to small regional packaging yards.
  • The Wisconsin paper-mill ecosystem and how it shapes regional sustainability claims.
  • Why running an industrial business without a phone line works (the operational case, not the marketing case).

Lead times for press inquiries.

Most press inquiries get a same-day response. Longer-form interview requests or background-research questions usually take 2–3 business days. We don't respond on weekends.

Frequently asked.

Are you available for podcast or audio interviews?

Yes. Pete (yard manager) and Marisol (operations lead) are our usual interviewees. We can do remote audio or in-person at the yard.

Can I get the data file behind your sustainability claims?

Yes, on request. The annual rollup spreadsheet covers two years of audited data and the methodology document explains every emission factor and boundary assumption.

Are you willing to be quoted publicly?

Yes for substantive topics, on the record. We don't do anonymous sourcing.

Can I take photos at the yard?

Yes, with the operational privacy guidelines noted above. We'll walk through them at the start of any press visit.
